Profiles in Wood, Inc is also active in the Smoky Mountain Home Builders Association. Dawson is a former SMHBA board member, a past President and current State board member. He was chairman of the team coordinating the Haywood County Parade of Homes for 2 years and also has work on the spring Expo team. Dawson is a member of the Haywood County Erosion and Sediment Control Board and has served on the Haywood County Tourism Advisory Council. Dawson is an NAHB Certified Green Professional, NC Accredited Builder, Certified Aging in Place Specialist and a Certified Lead Renovator.
